Winter Water Smart

In the winter, lawns go dormant which dramatically reduces watering needs.
Check out these tips to help extend existing supply and ensure wise water use.

  • Adjust your irrigation controller.  Lawns only need a drink about every two weeks
    in the winter.
  • Watch the weather to avoid watering during rain or in freezing temperatures,
and use a rain/freeze sensor if you have an irrigation system.
  • Remember no watering between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m except by hand-held
    hose, drip or soaker hose.
  • Check your faucets and fix any leaks you discover.
