HASLET CITY COUNCIL CONTINUES THE DECLARATION OF LOCAL DISASTER PROCLAIMED BY MAYOR

stay at home

At the Special City Council Meeting held by teleconference, with Mayor Bob Golden and all members of the City Council present by teleconference, Council approved unanimously to continue the Declaration of Local Disaster proclaimed on March 24th by Mayor Golden.  The declaration states, "...The City shall implement and follow the disaster declarations, guidelines and restrictions imposed on the City by the State of Texas, and/or Tarrant County."  Council continued the declaration to expire when the declaration from Tarrant County expires. Currently that date is April 7th but Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley could extend that date if deemed necessary.  The declarations dictate Shelter In Place restrictions requiring non-essential workers to stay home except for trips to purchase food, medicines, to seek medical care, or to check on the welfare of others needing help.  A partial list of essential and non-essential workers and businesses is linked below.  It is everyone’s responsibility to STAY HOME to FLATTEN THE CURVE.
