Animal Control Ordinance Information - Confinement Law: Haslet has a strict confinement law for dogs and cats…please do not allow your pets to roam. Pets at large are subject to being impounded by an Animal Control Officer and fees accessed to an owner. The Officer uses written notice cards and WARNING cards on first time violations. A second or third violation could result in a citation being issued where fines begin at $500. Please be responsible with your animals. A current rabies tag or ID tag on your pet’s collar will assure you getting your lost pet back. |

| Building Inspections Department |
| The Building Inspection Department is responsible for the inspection of all construction in the City of Haslet to ensure compliance with ordinances, building codes and applicable specifications. Building Inspections is responsible for code enforcement, plan review, permit issuance and to verify code compliance throughout the construction process. Permits are required before performing any new construction or any addition, alteration or repair of existing buildings, structures, plumbing, electrical or mechanical work. The City Secretary's Office consists of the City Secretary, an Assistant City Secretary, and a Records Technician. This office is responsible for maintaining accurate records for the City, City Council, and City Staff through a Records Management Program mandated by State law and adopted by City Ordinance.
The City Secretary's Office prepares City Council agendas and packets, records and maintains City Council minutes, resolutions, and ordinances. This office conducts municipal elections and coordinates City Board and Commission appointments. |

The Haslet Fire Department Is A Regional Emergency Services Agency Providing Fire And Medical Emergency Response As Well As Other Dispatched Calls To The Citizens Of Haslet And The Immediate Unincorporated Areas Of North Tarrant County In A Defined 911 Area. Additionally, HFD Provides Mutual Aid Support On A Regional, Multi-County And State-Wide Basis. HFD Also Provides Community Support, Education And Prevention Services To The Community It Serves Either In A Direct Capacity Or Through Mutual Aid.
We Operate From One Station Centrally Located In The City Of Haslet And Cover A District Of About 19 Square Miles.
Fire Camp 2010 - Chirdren from 8 to15 years of age can experience being a firefighter for a day at the Haslet Fire Department's 6th annual Fire Camp for Kids.
When: June 5th from 8am to 5pm Where: Haslet Fire Station 1701 FM 156 Fee: $35.00/child Registration can be done at City Hall (101 Main Street Haslet) Registration ends May 24. Please have child's shirt size available

The Haslet Public Library provides library services for life-long learning, cultural enrichment, information and recreation for the citizens of the Haslet community; assures equal access to information; is responsive to the public library needs of the community; and provides a gathering place for area residents.
Open six days a week, Monday through Saturday, the library is open to all of Texas. We will issue cards to any state resident who can provide proof of Texas residency. |

| Municipal Court |

| The Haslet Municipal Court provides the City with enforcement of Class C misdemeanor criminal laws and ordinance offenses occurring within the city limits. Municipal Court is held the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00 P.M. as needed. The law requires you to appear in court on your case. If you were issued a citation, your appearance date is noted on the citation. If you have been released on bond, your appearance date is set on the bond. If you request a continuance, the court will notify you of your new appearance date. You or your attorney may appear in person in open court, by mail, or you may deliver your plea in person to the court. |

| Parks Department |
The Parks Board serves in an advisory capacity to recommend improvements of the park and recreation areas. The Board is charged to stimulate public interest in the development and maintenance of parks and playgrounds and to promote close cooperation between the City and private citizens so that all park and recreational facilities are used to their maximum benefit. This Board contains seven members and two alternate members with appointments made by approval of the Council as a whole. The Haslet Parks and Recreation Board usually meet the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Community Center. |

| The Haslet Public Works Department maintains the City's infrastructure: streets, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, street medians, street trees, street and traffic signs, pavement markings, street lights and traffic signals, street sweeping, landscape maintenance, the water supply, water main lines, water services, water meters and meter readings for water billing, water conservation, refuse collection and recycling, environmental issues, the sewer system, engineering for everything in the public right-of-way, capital improvement projects. In addition, public works is responsible for other services: mechanical maintenance for all City-owned vehicles, small equipment and large construction equipment, and the maintenance of all City-owned buildings. |
