THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF HASLET, TEXAS WILL CONVENE IN REGULAR SESSION AT 7:00 P.M. ON MONDAY, JUNE 4, 2007 IN THE HASLET COMMUNITY CENTER LOCATED AT 105 MAIN STREET.

Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present.

Invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
3.
Citizen Participation and Comments:
Please fill out a “Citizen Comment” form to address the Council and turn it into the City Secretary prior to the beginning of the meeting.
Speakers are normally allowed three minutes (time limits may be adjusted by the Council).

Consider and act on the May 21 and May 23, 2007 minutes.
5.
Consider and act on Joe Coffey’s application for a position on the Planning and Zoning Commission.

C
onsider and act on Park Board request for Portable Restrooms for the 4th of July Parade.
7.
Applications of Devon Energy Production Company, L.P. for Specific Use Permits to allow three gas wells on the following properties:
G.A.D. Partners #6H – on a 2.33 acre tract of land lying within the J. Righly Survey, A-1268 in Tarrant County, Texas and also lying within a 192.989 tract described in a deed recorded in Volume 131191, Page 379, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas.
G.A.D. Partners #7H – on a 3.45 tract of land lying within the H. Robertson Survey, A-1259 and the J. Righly Survey, A-1268 in Tarrant County, Texas and also lying within a 192.989 acre tract described in a deed recorded in Volume 131191, Page 379, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas.
G.A.D. Partners #8D – on a 2.29 acre tract of land lying within the H. Robertson Survey, A-1259 in Tarrant County, Texas and also lying within a 192.989 acre tract described in a deed recorded in Volume 131191, Page 379, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas.
A more commonly referred to description of the location above listed gas wells is the southwest corner of Blue Mound Road and F.M. 156 in Haslet, Texas.

Consider and act on Specific Use Permits.
8.
Executive Session:
The City Council may enter into Executive Session during the meeting to seek legal advice from its attorney on any posted agenda item, or to discuss any item that is authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act to be discussed in closed session, including:
A.
Section 551.072, Government Code, deliberation regarding real property.
B.
Section 551.071, Government Code, – Consultation with Attorney; A governmental body may not conduct a private consultation with its attorney except:
(1) when the governmental body seeks the advice of its attorney about: (A) pending or contemplated litigation; or
(B) a settlement offer; or (2) on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with this chapter.

Section 551.087, Government Code, deliberation regarding economic development negotiations.
D.
Section 551.074, Government Code, to deliberate regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee.

Section 551.073, Government Code, to deliberate about gifts or donations to the City.

Consider and act on items to be placed on the next agenda.
