THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF HASLET, TEXAS WILL CONVENE IN REGULAR SESSION AT 7:00 P.M. ON MONDAY, MARCH 19, 2007 IN THE HASLET COMMUNITY CENTER LOCATED AT 105 MAIN STREET.

Consider and act on Resolution No. 0302-07 opposing Executive Order RP65 by Governor Rick Perry, relating to the immunization of young women from the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.
12.
Consider and act on approving the proposal and the funds to move the portable storage building from Old Town to the Fire Department.
13.
Consider and act on of supporting the Texas City Attorney Association’s Adult Business Study Steering Committee by contributing three cents (.03) per capita to promote the study of the harmful secondary effects of retail-only sexually oriented businesses with no on-premise entertainment.
14.
Consider and act on Resolution No. 0303-07 opposing House Bill 651, which would give gas utility the option of opting out of local control over natural gas rates and supporting Senate Bill 742 and House Bill 1994 which will repeal the Gas Reliability Infrastructure Program (GRIP) statue.
15.
Executive Session:
The City Council may enter into Executive Session during the meeting to seek legal advice from its attorney on any posted agenda item, or to discuss any item that is authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act to be discussed in closed session, including:
A.
Section 551.072, Government Code, deliberation regarding real property.
B.
Section 551.071, Government Code, – Consultation with Attorney; A governmental body may not conduct a private consultation with its attorney except:
(1) when the governmental body seeks the advice of its attorney about: (A) pending or contemplated litigation; or
(B) a settlement offer; or (2) on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with this chapter.
C.
Section 551.087, Government Code, deliberation regarding economic development negotiations.
D.
Section 551.074, Government Code, to deliberate regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee.
E.
Section 551.073, Government Code, to deliberate about gifts or donations to the City.
16.
Consider and act on executive session items.
17.
Consider and act on items to be placed on the next agenda.
18.
Adjourn.
