THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF HASLET, TEXAS WILL CONVENE IN REGULAR SESSION AT 7:00 P.M. ON MONDAY, MARCH 17, 2008 IN THE HASLET COMMUNITY CENTER LOCATED AT 105 MAIN STREET, HASLET, TEXAS.

 

AGENDA

 

1.          Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present.

 

2.          Invocation followed by Pledge of Allegiance.

 

3.          Citizen Participation and Comments:   (Please fill out a “Citizen Comment” form to address the Council and turn it into the City Secretary prior to the beginning of the meeting.   Speakers are normally allowed three minutes – the Council may adjust time limits)

 

4.          Consent Agenda:   (All items listed under the Consent Agenda are considered routine and may be enacted by one motion.   If discussion is desired, the item may be removed, discussed, and acted on separately)

8.          Application from Devon Energy Production Company for a Specific Use Permit to allow a gas well on the following property: Perryman# 4H, being a 4 acre tract of land located in the Heirs of Eldridge Hopkins Survey, A-1646 and being 258 acres, more or less, out of a 518.7 acre tract conveyed to W.R. Ross and John C. Hicks by deed recorded in Volume 1586, page 22, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas said 258 acres more or less, and more commonly referred to as the far north side of the 900 block of Blue Mound Road East.

 

            A.         Public Hearing.

            B.          Consider and act on Specific Use Permit.

 

9.          Application from Devon Energy Production Company for a Specific Use Permit to allow a gas well on the following property: Perryman# 5H, being a 4 acre tract of land located in the Heirs of Eldridge Hopkins Survey, A-1646 and being 258 acres, more or less, out of a 518.7 acre tract conveyed to W.R. Ross and John C. 10.        Ordinance No. 0303-08 changing the z oning classification of (AG) Agricultural Homesites District and (I) Industrial District to (I-PD) Industrial-Planned Development District with Airport Transition Overlay, an approximate 106 acre tract of land situated in the C. P. O’Briant Survey, Abstract Number 1195, W. G. Finley Survey, Abstract Number 1902, and the M.E.P. & P. R.R. Co. Survey, Abstract Number 1132, Tarrant County, Texas, and being all of that certain tract of land described by deed to Intermodal Container, LLC., as recorded in County Clerk’s Filing Number D206355318, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and all of that certain tract of land described by deed to WB Southern Container Storage 3 L.L.C., as recorded in   County Clerk’s Filing Number D206368610, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, more commonly referred to as the southeast and southwest corners of John Day Road and Keller-Haslet Road.

 

            A.         Public Hearing.

            B.          Consider and act on Specific Use Permit.

 

11.        Consider and act on the Preliminary Plat for Intermodal Container, LLC, of Dallas, Texas, by Adam Furlow, P.E., of Carter-Burgess, Inc., of Fort Worth, Texas on an approximate 106 acre tract of land situated in the C. P. O’Briant Survey, Abstract Number 1195, W. G. Finley Survey, Abstract Number 1902, and the M.E.P. & P. R.R. Co. Survey, Abstract Number 1132, Tarrant County, Texas, and being all of that certain tract of land described by deed to Intermodal Container, LLC., as recorded in County Clerk’s Filing Number D206355318, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and all of that certain tract of land described by deed to WB Southern Container Storage 3 L.L.C., as recorded in   County Clerk’s Filing Number D206368610, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, more commonly referred to as the southeast and southwest corners of John Day Road and Keller-Haslet Road.

 

12.        Consider and act on dissolving the voluntary position of EMS Division Chief and creating the voluntary position of Operations Chief.

 

13         Executive Session:   The City Council may enter into Executive Session during the meeting to seek legal advice from its attorney on any posted agenda item, or to discuss any item that is authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act to be discussed in closed session, including:

            A.         Section 551.072, Government Code, deliberation regarding real property.

B.          Section 551.071, Government Code, – Consultation with Attorney; A governmental body may not conduct a private consultation with its attorney except:   (1) when the governmental body seeks the advice of its attorney about: (A) pending or contemplated litigation; or    (B) a settlement offer; or (2) on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with this chapter.

            C.         Section 551.087, Government Code, deliberation regarding economic development negotiations.

            D.         Section 551.074, Government Code, to deliberate regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee.

            E.         Section 551.073, Government Code, to deliberate about gifts or donations to the City.

           

14.         Consider and act on executive session items.

 

15.         Consider and act on items to be placed on the next agenda.

 

16.         Adjourn.
