THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF HASLET, TEXAS WILL CONVENE IN A SPECIAL CALLED SESSION AT 7:00 P.M. ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 1, 2007 IN THE HASLET COMMUNITY CENTER LOCATED AT 105 MAIN STREET.

AGENDA

1.         Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present.

2.         Continuation of Public Hearing on the petition filed by Triple T. Farms, Ltd., requesting that the City create a public improvement district to be known as the Haslet Public Improvement District No. 1 to include property located within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City.

3.         Executive Session:   The City Council may enter into Executive Session during the meeting to seek legal advice from its attorney on any posted agenda item, or to discuss any item that is authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act to be discussed in closed session, including:

            A.        Section 551.072, Government Code, deliberation regarding real property.

B.         Section 551.071, Government Code, – Consultation with Attorney; A governmental body may not conduct a private consultation with its attorney except:  (1) when the governmental body seeks the advice of its attorney about: (A) pending or contemplated litigation; or   (B) a settlement offer; or (2) on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with this chapter.

            C.        Section 551.087, Government Code, deliberation regarding economic development negotiations.

            D.        Section 551.074, Government Code, to deliberate regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee.

            E.        Section 551.073, Government Code, to deliberate about gifts or donations to the City.

4.         Consider and act on executive session items.

5.         Adjourn.
