THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF HASLET, TEXAS WILL CONVENE IN REGULAR SESSION AT 7:00 P.M. ON MONDAY, JUNE 16, 2008 IN THE HASLET COMMUNITY CENTER LOCATED AT 105 MAIN STREET.
AGENDA
1. Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present.
2. Invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Citizen Participation and Comments: (Please fill out a “Citizen Comment” form to address the Council and turn it into the City Secretary prior to the beginning of the meeting. Speakers are normally allowed three minutes - the Council may adjust time limits).
4. Consent Agenda: (All items listed under the Consent Agenda are considered routine and may be enacted by one motion. If discussion is desired, the item may be removed, discussed, and acted on separately).

9. Presentation from the Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium concerning a trauma study being done in Haslet and the surrounding cities.
10. Ordinance 0603-08 amending the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance by adopting regulations governing the mapping, inventorying, installing, or relocating of common carrier pipelines over, under, along, or across a public street or alley or area within the boundaries of the City and establishing conditions for mapping of common carrier pipelines within the City’s Extraterritorial Jurisdiction and amending Appendix A, the Fee Schedule to reflect these changes.
11. Ordinance No. 0604-08 amending the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance by restricting the parking of oversized commercial vehicles in the Old Town District.
A. Continuation of the Public Hearing.
12. Consider and act on the amended final plat application from Fred Joyce, Developer for “The Meadows, Phase II subdivision. This subdivision is just north of the Ashmore Farms subdivision on the west side of FM Highway 156.
B. Consider and act on “The Meadows, Phase II” subdivision amended Final Plat.
13. Consider and act on a possible “City of Haslet Citizen of the Year” award program.
14. Review of capital expenditures on the Library and City Hall.
15. Consider and act on appointment of the City Secretary.
16. Consider and act on Resolution A0602-08 designating authorized signatures on all First Financial Accounts.
17. Executive Session: The City Council may enter into Executive Session during the meeting to seek legal advice from its attorney on any posted agenda item, or to discuss any item that is authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act to be discussed in closed session, including:
A. Section 551.072, Government Code, deliberation regarding real property.
B. Section 551.071, Government Code, – Consultation with Attorney; A governmental body may not conduct a private consultation with its attorney except: (1) when the governmental body seeks the advice of its attorney about: (A) pending or contemplated litigation; or (B) a settlement offer; or (2) on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with this chapter.
C. Section 551.087, Government Code, deliberation regarding economic development negotiations.
D. Section 551.074, Government Code, to deliberate regarding the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal of a public officer or employee.
E. Section 551.073, Government Code, to deliberate about gifts or donations to
the City.
18. Consider and act on executive session items.
19. Consider and act on items to be placed on the next agenda.
20. Adjourn.
