Library Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - 10 am to 7 pm.
Friday - 12 noon to 5 pm.
Saturday - 10 am to 3 pm.
Closed Sundays.
Storytime for Preschool Children - Every Wednesday at 10:30
Come join us for stories, songs and coloring. There is a different theme every week - details on the library blog. No registration is necessary.
Family Game Night - Last Thursday of every month
Bring your family to the library for a fun evening of board games and refreshments! Bring your own games or play some of ours. Game Night is offered on the last Thursday of the month from 5 - 6:30 pm.
Spanish Storytime - First Saturday of every month
Children and parents are invited to attend Spanish storytime featuring a guest reader. Spanish Storytime is offered the first Saturday of every month at 11:00 am.
Teen Advisory Board Meeting
Teens are invited to join TAB. The group meets monthly and discusses programs and materials for the library. Open to all teens. TAB meets on the last Tuesdays of the month at 5:30 pm. (Dates change occasionally; please call the library to verify.)

catalog to see the entire library collection - books, movies, books on CD, and more.
You can also see what items you have checked out and when they are due. Call the library to set up a PIN to access your record - 817-439-4278.

Library Cards
Any Texas resident may apply for a free Haslet Public Library card by filling out an application and presenting a photo id (driver's license) with current address. New residents: if your driver's license does not show your new address, bring a utility bill or another official document showing new address.

Bring your laptop computer to the library and connect to the Internet using our wireless network.
Renew by Phone
Save time and gasoline - renew your library materials by phone. Call the library at 817-439-4278. Leave a voice message if you call when the library is closed.
After Hours Book Return
A return bin is located at the front of the building.
Reserve a Book
Looking for the newest bestseller? Trying to find a required reading book for your child? Give us a call - we'll put it on reserve for you, then we'll call you when it is available.
Online Databases
Access these databases from your home or office computer with your Haslet Library Card. Find up-to-date information for school homework, research or fun.
World Book Encyclopedia - This excellent resource provides up-to-date information from the World Book Encyclopedia, as well as an atlas, dictionary, and special section on Texas.
To access World Book, follow the link above. For log-in, enter HPL plus the last four digits of your library card barcode (no spaces). Example: HPL0900.
TexShare Databases - TexShare databases provide a wealth of resources on health and medicine, business, genealogy, and literature. Access these powerful ressearch tools 24 hours a days from your library, your home, or office.
To access, call the library for a log-in and password at 817-439-4278. You must have a Haslet library card.
