THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF HASLET , TEXAS WILL CONVENE IN REGULAR SESSION AT 6:30 P.M. ON JANUARY 29, 2007 IN THE HASLET COMMUNITY CENTER LOCATED AT 105 MAIN STREET .

 

AGENDA

 

1.          Call to order and announce a quorum is present.

 

2.          Citizen Participation and Comments.   Please fill out a “Citizen Comment” form in order to address the Planning & Zoning Commission, and turn the form in prior to the Citizens Comments to the Planning & Zoning Secretary.   Speakers are normally limited to three minutes (time limits can be adjusted by the Planning & Zoning Commission).    

 

3.          Consider and act on approval of the December 19, 2006 minutes.  

 

4.          Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council on the Zoning change request from 120 Land Corporation to change from the current zoning classification of (AG) Agricultural Homesite District to the zoning classification of (LR) Local Retail District for a 4.514-acre tract of land situated in the M.E.P. & P. RR. Co. Survey No. 11, Abstract 1132, City of Haslet, Tarrant County, Texas, being those certain tracts of land conveyed to Lewis E. Nance and Allegra B. Nance by deeds recorded in Volume 8997, Page 627, and Volume 9612, Page 1093, described as Tract One, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas.   The site is more commonly described as the piece of property on the northeast corner of Avondale Haslet Road and F.M. 156 extending to the railroad tracks.

 

A.                  Public hearing.

B.                  Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.

 

5.          Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council on the Site Plan submission from Baird, Hampton & Brown for the proposed development of the Haslet Market Center.   It is located on an approximate 11.196 acre tract of land located in the Coleman Boyd Survey, Abstract No. 225, City of Haslet, Tarrant County, Texas, being the same Tract One as described in a deed to Dorothy Jo Sullivan and Timothy Arthur Sullivan and recorded in County Clerk’s File Number D204148388, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas more commonly referred to as property on the southeast corner of Avondale Haslet Road between F.M. 156 and the Railroad.  

           

A.      Public hearing.

B.      Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.

 

6.          Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council on the Final Plat submission from Baird, Hampton & Brown for the proposed development of the Haslet Market Center.   It is located on an approximate 11.196 acre tract of land located in the Coleman Boyd Survey, Abstract No. 225, City of Haslet, Tarrant County, Texas, being the same Tract One as described in a deed to Dorothy Jo Sullivan and Timothy Arthur Sullivan and recorded in County Clerk’s File Number D204148388, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas more commonly referred to as property on the southeast corner of Avondale Haslet Road between F.M. 156 and the Railroad.

7.          Presentation/Workshop from Carter & Burgess concerning the Intermodal Container Storage Site.   This is an approximate 104.9 acre tract of land situated in the C.P. O’Briant Survey, Abstract Number 1132, Tarrant County, Texas, and being all of that certain tract of land described by deed to Intermodal Container, LLC., as recorded in County Clerk’s Filing Number D206355318, Deed Records, Tarrant, and all of Tract 2, as described by deed to TWO SR, L.P., as recorded in Volume 16320, Page 169, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, more commonly referred to as the southeast and southwest corners of John Day Road and Keller-Haslet Road.

           

8.          Workshop and consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council to consider reviewing and amending the Haslet Code of Ordinances, Chapter 14, Exhibit A:   Zoning Ordinance, Section 11[260.1] C-156 – F.M. 156 Corridor Overlay District (B) 2. Local Retail Transition.

           

            A.         Public hearing.

            B.          Workshop.

            C.         Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.

 

9.          Executive Session:   The Planning and Zoning Commission may enter into Executive Session during the meeting to seek legal advice from its attorney on any posted agenda item, or to discuss any item that is authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act to be discussed in closed session, including:

A.         Section 551.071, Government Code, – Consultation with Attorney; A governmental body may not conduct a private consultation with its attorney except:   (1) when the governmental body seeks the advice of its attorney about: (A) pending or contemplated litigation; or    (B) a settlement offer; or (2) on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with this Chapter.

 

10.        Consider and act on executive session items.

 

11.        Items to be placed on the next agenda.

 

12.        Adjourn.
