THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF HASLET, TEXAS WILL CONVENE IN REGULAR SESSION ON MONDAY, JULY 30, 2007 AT 6:30 P.M. IN THE HASLET COMMUNITY CENTER LOCATED AT 105 MAIN STREET.
AMENDED AGENDA
1. Call to order and announce a quorum is present.
2. Oaths of Office:
A. Place 9 – Alternate # 2.
3. Citizen Participation and Comments. Please fill out a “Citizen Comment” form in order to address the Planning & Zoning Commission, and turn the form in prior to the Citizens Comments to the Planning & Zoning Secretary. Speakers are normally limited to three minutes (time limits can be adjusted by the Planning & Zoning Commission).
4. Consider and act on approval of the June 25, 2007 minutes.
5. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council on the S.U.P. application from Devon Energy Production Company, LP for LBJ Blakely # 1H, a gas well that is located on a 687.7 acre tract of land within the M.E.P. & P.R.R. Co. Survey, No. 11, A-1132, the Wm. Bramlett & Ryan Survey No. 12, A-227, the M.E.P. & P.R.R. Co. Survey, No. 13, A-1129, and the W.G. Finley Survey, A-1902 in Tarrant County, Texas. And more commonly referred to as west side of F.M. Hwy 156 just north of Original Town Haslet.
6. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council on the S.U.P. application from Devon Energy Production Company, LP for Lottie Barton Johnson # 37H, a gas well that is located on a 687.7 acre tract of land within the M.E.P. & P.R.R. Co. Survey, No. 11, A-1132, the Wm. Bramlett & Ryan Survey No. 12, A-227, the M.E.P. & P.R.R. Co. Survey, No. 13, A-1129, and the W.G. Finley Survey, A-1902 in Tarrant County, Texas. And more commonly referred to as west side of F.M. Hwy 156 just north of Original Town Haslet.
7. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council on the S.U.P. application from Chief Operating LLC for Alliance Unit G-2H, a gas well that is located on a 2.95 tract located on a 32.08 acre tract of land situated in the H.C. Johnson Survey, Abstract Number 870, Tarrant County, Texas and being a portion of that certain tract of land described by deed to the ADL Development, L.P., formerly known as Hillwood/2470, LTD., formerly known as Alliance Airport, LTD. as recorded in Volume 9279, Page 377, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas and being more commonly located north of Westport Parkway and east of Intermodal Parkway.

B. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.
8. 9. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council concerning a zoning change request to change from the current zoning classification of (R-8) PD Urban Residential District/Planned Development and (R-9) PD Urban Residential District/Planned Development to (R-8) Urban Residential District on a 192.88 acre tract of land being part of the James Rightly Survey, Abstract No. 1268, and the Henry Robertson Survey, Abstract No. 1259, Tarrant County, Texas, and being that same tract described in Volume 9182, Page 352, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas. Being more commonly described as property located near the south west corner of Blue Mound Road and F.M. Hwy 156 South.

B. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.
10. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council concerning the proposed changes to the Preliminary Plat application with variance requests from Gary Allen Development Partners for North Glen Heights Subdivision. The proposed subdivision is located
on a 192.88 acre tract of land being part of the James Rightly Survey, Abstract No. 1268, and the Henry Robertson Survey, Abstract No. 1259, Tarrant County, Texas, and being that same tract described in Volume 9182, Page 352, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas. Being more commonly described as property located near the south west corner of Blue Mound Road and F.M. Hwy 156 South.

B. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.
11. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council concerning changes to the Thoroughfare Plan which is part of the Comprehensive Plan of the City of Haslet.

B. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.
12. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council concerning the proposed Wind Energy System ordinance.
A. Public hearing.
B. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.
13. Consider and possible action on a Sign Kiosk ordinance.
A. Workshop.
B. Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.
14. Executive Session: The Planning and Zoning Commission may enter into Executive Session during the meeting to seek legal advice from its attorney on any posted agenda item, or to discuss any item that is authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act to be discussed in closed session, including:
A. Section 551.071, Government Code, –
Consultation with Attorney; A governmental body may not conduct a private consultation with its attorney except: (1) when the governmental body seeks the advice of its attorney about: (A) pending or contemplated litigation; or (B) a settlement offer; or (2) on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with this Chapter.
15. Consider and act on executive session items.
