THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF HASLET, TEXAS WILL CONVENE IN REGULAR SESSION ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 2008 AT 6:30 P.M. IN THE HASLET COMMUNITY CENTER LOCATED AT 105 MAIN STREET.

 

AGENDA

 

1.          Call to order and announce a quorum is present.

 

2.          Presentation from the City of Fort Worth Planning Department concerning transportation.

 

3.          Citizen Participation and Comments.   Please fill out a “Citizen Comment” form in order      to address the Planning & Zoning Commission, and turn the form in prior to the Citizens             Comments to the Planning & Zoning Secretary.   Speakers are normally limited to three    minutes (time limits can be adjusted by the Planning & Zoning Commission).     

           

4.          Consider and act on approval of the January 28, 2008 minutes.

 

5.          Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council on the S.U.P. application               from Devon Energy Production Company for a Specific Use Permit to allow a gas   well on the following property: Perryman# 4H, being a 4 acre tract of land located           in the Heirs of Eldridge Hopkins Survey, A-1646 and being 258 acres, more or less, out             of a 518.7 acre tract conveyed to W.R. Ross and John C. Hicks by deed recorded in   Volume 1586, page 22, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas said 258 acres more or           less, and more commonly referred to as the far north side of the 900 block of Blue Mound    Road East.

            A.         Public hearing.

            B.          Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.

 

6.          Application from Devon Energy Production Company for a Specific Use Permit to allow           a gas well on the following property: Perryman# 5H, being a 4 acre tract of land located in the Heirs of Eldridge Hopkins Survey, A-1646 and being 258 acres, more or less, out of a 518.7 acre tract conveyed to W.R. Ross and John C. Hicks by deed recorded in          Volume 1586, page 22, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas said 258 acres more or          less, and more commonly referred to as the far north side of the 900 block of Blue Mound       Road East.

            A.         Public hearing.

            B.          Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.

 

7.          Application from Chief Oil & Gas LLC for a Specific Use Permit to allow a gas well,     Alliance #H-3H, on the following property: being a 2.80 acre tract of land more or less out of a larger tract of land situated in the M.E.P. & P. RR. Co. Survey, Abstract Number 1135, Tract 1A, Tarrant County, Texas and being a portion of that certain tract of land             described by deed to the ADL Development, L.P., Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas        and being more commonly referred to as the northeast corner of the intersection of         Intermodal Parkway and Railhead Drive.

            A.         Public hearing.

            B.          Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.

9.          Continuance from the October 29, 2007 Planning and Zoning meeting:   Consider and act          on the             recommendation to the City Council for a Zoning change to change from the      current zoning classification of (AG) Agricultural Homesites District and (I) Industrial            District to (PD-I) Planned Development-Industrial District, an approximate 104.9 acre            tract of land situated in the C.P. O’Briant Survey, Abstract Number 1195, W.G. Finley             Survey, Abstract Number 1902, and the M.E.P. & P. R.R. Co. Survey, Abstract Number        1132, Tarrant County, Texas, and being all of that certain tract of land described by deed        to Intermodal Container, LLC., as recorded in County Clerk’s Filing Number           D206355318, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and all of that certain tract of land      described by deed to WB Southern Container Storage 3 L.L.C., as      recorded in County       Clerk’s Filing Number D206368610, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, more    commonly referred to as the southeast and southwest corners of John Day Road and          Keller- Haslet   Road.

 

10.        Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council on the proposed Preliminary         Plat for Intermodal Container Yard from Intermodal Container, LLC.   An approximate       104.9 acre tract of land situated in the C.P. O’Briant Survey, Abstract Number 1195,         W.G. Finley Survey,     Abstract Number 1902, and the M.E.P. & P. R.R. Co. Survey,      Abstract Number 1132, Tarrant County, Texas, and being all of that certain tract of land           described by deed to Intermodal Container, LLC., as recorded in County Clerk’s Filing    Number D206355318, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, and all of that certain tract         of land described by deed to WB Southern Container Storage 3 L.L.C., as recorded in County Clerk’s Filing Number D206368610, Deed Records, Tarrant County, Texas, more             commonly referred to as the southeast and southwest corners of John Day Road and     Keller-Haslet Road.

             A.         Public hearing.

            B.          Consider and act on the recommendation to the City Council.

 

11.        Workshop and possible recommendation to the City Council on a possible Dark Sky    Ordinance.  

            A.         Workshop.

            B.          Consider and act on recommendation to City Council.

 

12.        Workshop and possible recommendation to the City Council on possible changes to the            City of Haslet Zoning Ordinance.

            A.         Workshop.

            B.          Consider and act on recommendation to the City Council.

 

13.        Executive Session:   The Planning and Zoning Commission may enter into Executive      Session during the meeting to seek legal advice from its attorney on any posted        agenda item,   or to discuss any item that is authorized by the Texas Open          Meetings Act to be    discussed in closed session, including:

A.         Section 551.071, Government Code, – Consultation with Attorney; A governmental body may not conduct a private consultation with its attorney except:   (1) when the governmental body seeks the advice of its attorney about: (A) pending or contemplated litigation; or (B) a settlement offer; or (2) on a matter in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with this Chapter.

 

14.        Consider and act on executive session items.

 

15.        Items to be placed on the next agenda.

 

16.        Adjourn.
