Do I need an alarm permit?
You only need an alarm permit if you have a fire alarm. We currently do not issue permits for burglar alarms, however we ask that you register your alarm with the City. Contact the Building Inspections Department at 817-439-5931 ext. 8 with any questions.

Do I need a permit to have a garage sale?
Permits are not required for garage sales, however, the signs can't be up for more than 72 hours.

Do I need a permit to install a lawn irrigation system?
Yes. You will need to have your irrigation contractor register with the City of Haslet and the permit fee for the system will be based on the cost of construction. Please contact the Building Inspections Department at 817-439-5931 ext. 8 or visit us at 101 Main Street to obtain a permit.

Do I need a permit to remove a tree?
Please check with the Building Inspections Department at 817-439-5931 ext. 8 prior to removing any tree. The City of Haslet has a Tree Preservation Ordinance and a permit is required to remove most trees.

Do I need a permit to drill a water well?
Yes. The City of Haslet requires a permit to drill a water well and they are to be used for irrigation purposes only. Permit applications may be obtained at the Building Inspections Department located at 101 Main street.
