Finance Department

The City of Haslet is committed to comprehensive and transparent financial and fiscal management as a demonstration of strong accountability, customer oriented values, ethics, integrity and stewardship.

The Finance Department is responsible for managing all of the accounting, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, purchasing, and utility billing for the City.

In addition, the Finance Department develops and publishes the city's annual operating budget, manages revenue, expenditure and performance trends and completes special projects as assigned by the City Council.  The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA)  recently awarded Haslet the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the FY 2017-2018 budget. The City has received this award three years in a row.  This award is the highest form of recognition in governmental budgeting.

The City of Haslet has retained an independent registered municipal adviser, Southwest Securities, that advises and represents the City concerning the issuance of municipal securities. See the Independent Registered Municipal Advisor Representation Letter (PDF).
