Haslet also has a very active Parks and Recreation Board.The Parks and Recreation Board serves in an advisory capacity to recommend improvements of the park and recreation areas. The Board is charged to stimulate public interest in the development and maintenance of parks and playgrounds and to promote close cooperation between the City and private citizens so that all park and recreational facilities are used to their maximum benefit. This Board contains seven members and two alternate members with appointments made by approval of the Council as a whole. The Haslet Parks and Recreation Board usually meet the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Community Center.
