Applying For a Security Alarm Permit

The City of Haslet contracts with the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office for Police Protection Services. Security Alarms must be permitted through the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office in order for them to respond to any alarms that may occur.

An Alarm Permit Application is available for pickup at City Hall or online (PDF). You can print it and send it with the required $25.00 permit fee, made payable to the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office, to the following address:

The annual renewal fee is also $25.00. A renewal reminder is sent out by the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office prior to the permit expiring each year.

Once the permit has been processed by the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office, they will mail you a permit. It is your responsibility to contact your alarm company and give them the permit number.
