Storytimes
Storytime break for the holidays and library renovation December 18th thru January 29th!
Babytime Storytime on Tuesdays at 9:30am in the Meeting Room. Caregivers can bring their babies (infants thru 18 months) to the library for a short storytime.
Mother Goose on the Loose Storytime on Wednesdays at 10:00am in the Haslet Community Center. This is a music and movement based storytime where we will learn a sign language letter and word, read two books, sign songs, and end our storytime by making a craft together.
Reading Incentive Programs
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten* - Read to your little one! Participants earn prizes for every 100 books. Registration is required. You may register at the circulation desk. If you'd like to go ahead and get started, here's the 1st Reading Log 1-100
May The Force Be With You* - Children in Kindergarten through grade 5 earn prizes for every 20 books read, up to 200 books total. You may register at the circulation desk.
Reading To Rover
Whether your child has special needs or simply wants the experience of reading to a canine companion, Reading to Rover is a great way to provide your child with a friendly, non-judgmental audience. Bella and Honey, two certified therapy dogs, visit the library twice a month during the school year. Children read to them for 15 minutes. Choose from our books or bring your own from home. For independent readers in 1st to 5th grades on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED - Register at the circulation desk or call (817)439-4278, ext. 201.

Make and Take - Children of all ages are invited to stop by the library to make a special craft project they can keep. 1st Tuesday, 10AM-2PM.
Imagination Station - Stop by the library the 2nd Tuesday, 10AM-12PM for a play date in the library. Pop up houses, puppet theaters, dress up clothes. Something a little different every time.
Family Night - Join us on the 3rd Thursday of the Month for a fun family activity!

Tween Time - Join us on the 4th Monday of the month for a fun tween activity!

Lunch Bunch - Do you like lunch? Do you like to learn? Homeschoolers are invited to join the Haslet Public Library at Lunch Bunch for an afternoon of food and fun as we explore exciting and interesting subjects! Snacks provided. You are welcome to bring a sack lunch. For ages 2nd grade and up.
