Story Times

Story times at the library are a great way to foster a love of reading in your child. We encourage parents and caregivers to remain active participants during story time. You are your child's first and most important teacher, so help them strengthen their literacy and language skills by showing them how much fun reading, singing, and playing together can be!

Toddler Story Time - Ages 1 to 3*  Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Preschool Story Time - Ages 3* to 5  Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m.

*Parents and caregivers of 3-year-olds may attend both Toddler and Preschool Story Time in order to gauge their child's interest then select the most appropriate group.

Reading to Rover

Whether your child has special needs or simply wants the experience of reading to a canine companion, Reading to Rover is a great way to provide your child with a friendly, non-judgmental audience. Gracie and Bella, certified therapy dogs, visit the library twice a month during the school year. Children read to one of the dogs for 15 minutes. Choose from our books or bring your own from home. For independent readers in 1st to 5th grades on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
