At 10am join Ms. Briana for Mother Goose on the Loose, a music and movement based storytime perfect for our wiggliest younger friends.
At 10:45am pre-school friends are invited to learn a sign language word/ letter, read 3 books, sing songs, and take home a craft!

Reading Incentive Programs

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten* - Read to your little one! Participants earn prizes for every 100 books. Registration is 1,000 BBK thumbnailrequired. You may register at the circulation desk. If you'd like to go ahead and get started, here's the 1st Reading Log 1-100

Reading To Rover

Whether your child has special needs or simply wants the experience of reading to a canine companion, Reading to Rover is a great way to provide your child with a friendly, non-judgmental audience. Bella and Honey, two certified therapy dogs, visit the library twice a month during the school year. Children read to them for 15 minutes. Choose from our books or bring your own from home. For independent readers in 1st to 5th grades on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED - Register at the circulation desk or call (817)439-4278, ext. 201.

MakeMake and take thumbnail and Take - Children of all ages are invited to stop by the library to make a special craft project they can keep. 1st Tuesday, 10AM-2PM

Imagination station thumbnailImagination Station - Stop by the library the 2nd Tuesday, 10AM-12PM for a play date in the library. Pop up houses, puppet theaters, dress up clothes. Something a little different every time.

Lunch Bunch - Do you like lunch? Do you like to learn? Homeschoolers are invited to join the Haslet Public Library at Lunch Bunch for an afternoon of food and fun as we explore exciting and interesting subjects! Snacks provided.

Blind Date with a Book-

 All ages are invited to a blind date with a good book at the library! Books will be wrapped in paper, featuring the first line of the book written on the front. When you find a first line that strikes your interest, take it to the front desk and check it out to find out which book you got!
