Story Times

Story times at the library are a great way to foster a love of reading in your child. We encourage parents and caregivers to remain active participants during story time. You are your child's first and most important teacher, so help them strengthen their literacy and language skills by showing them how much fun reading, singing, and playing together can be!

Toddler Story Time - Ages 1 to 3*

Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Preschool Story Time - Ages 3* to 5

Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m.

*We welcome parents and caregivers of 3-year-olds to attend both Toddler and Preschool Story Time in order to gauge their child's interest then select the most appropriate story time.

Reading to Rover

Is your child a struggling or reluctant reader? Whether your child has special needs or simply wants the experience of reading to a canine companion, Reading to Rover is a great way to provide your child with a friendly, non-judgmental audience. Gracie and Bella are trained and certified therapy dogs who visit the library twice a month during the school year.

Children will get to read with one of the dogs for 15 minutes. A selection of books are provided each time, but children are welcome to bring their own books from home or browse the library for books before their session begins.
