Individuals 14 years of age or older are welcome to serve as volunteers at the Haslet Public Library for such purposes as:
Assisting the library staff with routine tasks.
Earning student community service hours or merit badges.
Earning court-ordered community service hours.
The Library Volunteer Policy document explains the scope of work volunteers can expect to be asked to do and includes two applications. Volunteers are typically scheduled for 1-2 hours weekly. Exceptions are made on a case-by-case basis. All volunteer hours are assigned by the Adult Services Librarian.
To volunteer, you need to download and fill out an application and bring it to the library, or contact a librarian for more information. Open the Volunteer Policy document linked below. The application is page 3 of the Library Volunteer Policy document. (NOTE: If you are needing court ordered hours, you will instead need to fill out the application on pages 4 and 5
