FM 156 is getting a facelift. TxDOT, FM 156 Overlay Project Number 0718-02-072.

TxDOT will be performing maintenance and repair work on FM 156 from Intermodal Parkway to US 287. This work will be performed in stages:

• November and December 2023 - Repairs to the pavement ruts and potholes are scheduled to take place. This work is planned to take place during night hours.
• February and March 2024 - Full roadway closures for bridge repairs are scheduled during the weekends.
• In March 2024, once the temperatures warm up. The Overlay paving is scheduled to start.

This schedule is subject to change due to weather and other elements that are outside of TxDOT or their contractor’s control. The limits for this project on FM-156 are from US-81,287 to just north of Intermodal Parkway.
